Our skin cancer education centre is in Docklands, Melbourne. All workshops except the face and ear workshop are held at our Docklands centre in the heart of Melbourne.teacher.jpg

One month after each workshop, attendees will be invited to certify their knowledge through on-line Australasian College of Cutaneous Oncology(ACCO) certification exams.

Progress through our stepwise program of skin cancer education for general practitioners.

A certification exam is available at the completion of each stage.

ESSENTIALS: In 2012 we will be holding two essentials of skin cancer medicine weekend workshops at our Docklandscentre. - March 31 & April 1, 2012 and program repeated June 16 / 17 2012. This workshop equips doctors to sit the optional ACCO "Certificate in Primary Skin Cancer Medicine" exam one month following each workshop.

This workshop is a thorough exploration of the diagnosis and management of skin cancer in general practice. Surgical techniques explained in this workshop including punch biopsies, shave biopsies, elliptical excision of lesions, curettage, cautery and cryotherapy. FLAPS & GRAFTS: The 2012 5 day skin cancer flap / graft surgery workshop will be held in DocklandsMelbourne September 14 to 18, 2012. Register here or Workshop details here. This workshop focuses on learning flap and graft procedures. Knowledge of essentials curriculum assumed. For 2012 the program has been expanded a further half day with further flaps and grafts now taught and practiced.

This workshop equips doctors to sit the optional ACCO "Diploma in Skin Cancer Surgery" exam one month following each workshop.

Cost of 5 day flap and graft workshop: $3,250.00

DERMOSCOPY: In 2012 we are holding two intensive weekend dermoscopy workshops at our Docklandscentre. These workshop involves an 8 hour education program of in depth dermoscopy diagnostics. This workshop equips doctors to sit the optional ACCO "Certificate in Advanced Dermoscopy" exam one month following each workshop.

FACE & EAR: :Face and ear reconstruction workshop in 2012 will be held in Geelong on November 16, 17 & 18. This workshop is designed for those planning to move beyond procedures learnt in the 5 day event.� Register here. Workshop program here.

Cost of 3 day ear and face wokshop: $2,250.00

REGISTER FOR MORE THAN ONE WORKSHOP AND RECIEVE 10% DISCOUNT.

All equipment is provided for all workshops.
Registration for workshops of three or more days includes the conference dinner and welcome drinks and nibbles session on the Friday evening. - There are no part registrations. The cost includes a catering / venue package arrangement. There is no reduction for registrants choosing not to attend the conference dinner or other component. The catering package for all workshops includes morning and afternoon tea each day as well as lunch.

CME points:
In past years, RACGP has allocated 30 ALM (Active Learning Module) points for 5 day skin flap and graft activity. To obtain these points, attending doctors are required to complete the pre-test before the event and the post- test after the program. Both of these steps are undertaken on-line on this web site.
 
Similarly in the past ACRRM points have also been approved for the course at the rate of 1 point per hour.
 
Our surgical skin cancer workshops are approved for Medicare Plus rural GP procedural (surgical) funding.

Note that a very limited amount of written material will be provided. The course does not include comprehensive notes.
